"Spice World" [Bob Spiers] 1997
"This film is an exploration into the global phenomena that was the Spice Girls. It is hard to believe that it was 20 years ago that my wife and I piled into our Geo Metro and pulled into the UA MDR to see this on opening night. This movie defined my marriage. We laughed, we cried, we questioned our existential existence. The movie dives into social issues not yet solved, I give this movie 5 bags of popcorn. Recommended to all. "

"A lot of Love" [Nigel Cole] 2005
"Judging by their dialogue, Oliver and Emily have never read a book or a newspaper, seen a movie, watched TV, had an idea, carried on an interesting conversation or ever thought much about anything. The movie thinks they are cute and funny, which is embarrassing, like your uncle who won’t stop with the golf jokes"

"Armageddon" [Michael Bay] 1998
"Here it is at last, the first 150-minute trailer. Armageddon is cut together like its own highlights. Take almost any 30 seconds at random, and you’d have a TV ad. The movie is an assault on the eyes, the ears, the brain, common sense, and the human desire to be entertained. No matter what they’re charging to get in, it’s worth more to get out"

"Anthropoid" [Sean Ellis] 2016
"Anthropoid was directed and co-written by Sean Ellis. The film follows the group of Czech resistance fighters who were sent to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich. Heydrich was the number three Nazi at that time and a key figure in planning the Holocaust.
"Some critics found this is film somewhat dull? Huh? Perhaps they missed the last twenty minutes when they went out to get more popcorn. Or perhaps they are addicted to ‘reality programs‘.
"The movie does take time to build. It tells quite accurately how the operation is planned and how it unfolds. But it does build and the last half of the film is fast-paced. Because it is generally historically accurate, there is no ‘Hollywood‘ heroism and there is no ‘star‘ around which the movie must revolve. This is a good docudrama."

"Twilight" [Catherine Hardwicke] 2008
"This is a story of a young woman‘s choice to practice either beastiality or necrophilia. The story drags on a bit and is geared towards the younger crowd. It‘s worth a netflix stream, but don‘t waste your money. "

"Weekend at Bernie‘s" [Ted Kotcheff] 1989
"The plot revolves around a recently deceased uncle and two nephews that refuse to let the party die with him. The plot twists and clever lines will keep you engaged while the character‘s deep and often misunderstood personalities will leave you wanting more. The screenplay is up there with the likes of Citizen Kane and the acting with Casablanca. What the movie lacks in wit it makes up for in depth all the while leaving the audience asking for more. "

"Titanic" [James Cameron] 1998
"It isn‘t often that a movie will advertise it‘s ending and with good reason. The entire movie patrons are anticipating a crash making it difficult to connect with the characters. The plot is far fetched and frankly unbelievable. This movie requires 2 intermissions and would benefit from 90 minutes of editing. James Cameron would recover from this disaster, but the actors would never be heard of again. "

"Ernest Goes to Camp" [John R. Cherry III] 1987
"This film revolves around Ernest, played by Jim Varney, heading off to camp. The film is a study in 1980‘s americana and lends itself to a simpler time. Many critics call this movie the ‘Strange Brew‘ of America, but this critic likens it to the ‘Animal House‘ of our generation. "
